Now forming a Fundraiser Committee!
Are you hardworking? Committed to success? Dependable and trustworthy?
Are you creative? Do you have ideas and are driven to see them to fruition?
Do you want to help the horses, but are only able to offer your time?
Are you outgoing? Well spoken? A good communicator?
If the answer is yes, then we want You to join our Crew!!
Pony Tales is currently “hiring” 4-5 people with the above characteristics to join our fundraising committee. The committee will be in charge of organizing fundraisers to help pay for the care and rehabilitation of the horses here along with related expenses. The committee will work together to come up with ideas and delegate duties amongst the group. The fundraisers can be as small as you like or as big as you can dream and accomplish. All ideas and progress will be presented to the board for approval, suggestions, etc. If you think you are a good match and would like to join the fundraising committee, please email us at [email protected] for more information and an application.
This is a 100% voluntary position as no one here receives a salary of any kind. However, reasonable expenses you may incur in the course of your duties will be reimbursed.
There are many different ways to help out the horses and the over-worked crew here at Pony Tales. If you do not have the means to help financially, please consider volunteering your time. We are always in need of help with feeding, grooming, dragging pastures, scrubbing buckets and dishes, and of course scooping piles and piles of poo! There is also always fencing to be done and other projects that need a few able bodies to help complete.
We invite all who would like to offer their physical help in whatever manner they can. Below is a list of specific larger projects that we need help with. If you have the time, knowledge and/or equipment to help out, please let us know:
- Sticks and debris need to be picked up in the pastures and put in piles.
- Need stumps removed from the pastures.
- Need to grate and reseed the pastures.
- Perimeter fencing needs to be upgraded.
- New projects come up on almost a daily basis.
Volunteering at Pony Tales Refuge & Rehab is a great experience for individuals and/or families. It is also a great way to teach horse enthusiasts about the care and responsibility of horse ownership without the long term commitment and costs. We welcome youth groups and other organizations as well!
We are also looking for volunteers to help with grant writing, public relations, advertising, marketing and fundraising. There are just a few hands on deck to cover just the daily chores. Finding time to get to these other very important aspects of running a rescue is very challenging and sometimes impossible.
Sounds like just what you've been looking for?? Just click on the tabs above and review the Volunteer Application and Agreement! Then email the documents to us at [email protected] and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible!
